Do not buy ‘from KeNIC’ unless KeNIC says it is the registrar
The registry maintains the namespace and registrar system. The accredited seller manages the end-user account, invoice, DNS assistance and support. A provider can be KeNIC-accredited without being KeNIC itself; marketing must preserve that distinction.
Accreditation is the first filter, not the final score
Confirm the seller on KeNIC’s current accredited list, then evaluate actual retail operations. Accreditation does not make every registrar’s pricing, portal, support speed or security identical.
Compare the whole .ke lifecycle
